I’ve owned dogs and cats my entire life and I’ve always done what I thought was the best thing for all my critter children. I’ve read books on training and I even work on one of the largest dog and cat sites on the Internet as Senior Managing Editor. I know a lot about dogs and cats but especially dogs. In the last few years I have learned that a lot of things that I thought were true about dogs and how to raise them and keep them healthy and safe, were simply not true. I had always thought kibble was the best thing to feed my dogs and that if I fed them people foods they might get an upset stomach. I believed that toxic flea drops and sprays were the best way to keep my pups free from parasites. So many of the things I believed to be true, are not and that’s okay. I’m a human, I’m learning, I’m growing and everything I learn makes me a better pet parent. I’ve made it my mission to learn everything I can to be a better pet parent and I’ve decided to share what I’m learning and discovering with you.
